With the mop-up examination just three days away, JAMB's CAPS portal now active for O'Level uploads, original result slip printing still pending, and a major examination fraud case recently concluded, there is a lot every candidate needs to be up to date on. This is your complete JAMB update for today — read everything carefully and act on what applies to you.

UPDATE 1: Mop-Up Examination Is This Saturday, June 13 — Notification Slips Are Out

The most time-sensitive update today is this: the 2026 UTME mop-up examination holds in three days, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. If you are an eligible candidate, there is nothing more important on your schedule between now and then.

JAMB has officially activated the online portal for mop-up notification slip printing. Eligible candidates can now print their slips directly through the JAMB e-Facility portal at slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/mopup-examination. The slip contains your assigned examination centre, date, time, and all guidance you need for exam day. You cannot enter the examination hall without it.

In addition to the online portal, JAMB has commenced the dispatch of direct notifications to eligible candidates via SMS and email. Check the phone number and email address linked to your JAMB profile. If you have not received a notification and believe you should be eligible for the mop-up, visit the nearest JAMB-accredited CBT centre or JAMB state office immediately — do not wait.

Who Is Eligible for the Mop-Up?

The mop-up is strictly reserved for the following categories of candidates:

If you simply missed your exam date without a validated reason, or if you sat the exam but are unhappy with your score, you are not eligible for the mop-up. JAMB has been absolutely clear: the June 13 mop-up is the final sitting for the 2026 UTME cycle. There will be no further opportunity after this date. What to Do Before June 13

UPDATE 2: JAMB CAPS Portal Now Active for O'Level Result Uploads

In another major development, JAMB has officially activated the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal for the uploading of 2026 O'Level results. This is particularly significant for candidates who registered for the 2026 UTME as "Awaiting Result" candidates — those who were still waiting for their WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results at the time of JAMB registration. Now that the CAPS portal is active, these candidates can and must proceed to upload their results immediately.

This is not optional. JAMB has repeatedly made clear that uploading O'Level results on CAPS is a mandatory prerequisite for admission consideration. No university, polytechnic, or college of education will process your admission without confirmed O'Level results on your CAPS profile — regardless of your UTME score or POST-UTME performance. With public universities facing an admission conclusion deadline of October 31, 2026, every week of delay in uploading your results narrows your admission window.

How to Upload Your O'Level Results on JAMB CAPS

Note that you cannot upload your O'Level results yourself through your JAMB profile online. The upload must be done physically at an accredited JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office. Here is what to do:

  1. Gather the required documents: your original UTME registration slip, your printed O'Level result slip (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), and your JAMB login details.
  2. Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre near you and inform the staff that you want to upload your O'Level results on CAPS.
  3. Provide your JAMB registration number and a valid means of identification.
  4. Provide a clear copy of your O'Level result for scanning. If your results are from two sittings (e.g., WAEC and NECO combined), ensure both are presented and uploaded.
  5. After the CBT officer completes the upload, log in to your JAMB profile via the e-Facility portal, navigate to "Check Admission Status," select "Access my CAPS," and click on "My O'Level" to verify that your grades are accurately reflected.

If you already uploaded your O'Level results during JAMB registration and they are correctly showing on your CAPS profile, you do not need to repeat this process. Log in to verify and confirm.

UPDATE 3: Original Result Slip Printing Is Still Not Active

As of today, June 10, 2026, the printing of original 2026 UTME result slips has still not been activated by JAMB. This has been officially confirmed. The result slip printing portal remains closed, and any CBT centre or individual claiming to offer original result slip printing at this time is not being truthful.

JAMB's position remains unchanged: the result slip is a ranking document that cannot be finalised until every candidate's score — including those writing the June 13 mop-up — has been captured, processed, and ranked. Once the mop-up results are fully processed after June 13, the printing portal is expected to be activated. Candidates should anticipate this happening sometime in the days or weeks following the mop-up examination.

In the meantime, your SMS score result remains sufficient proof of your JAMB performance for POST-UTME registration at the vast majority of schools currently accepting applications. Do not allow the result slip delay to prevent you from registering for your school's POST-UTME — check your school's specific requirements and proceed accordingly.

UPDATE 4: JAMB and Police Bust Major Exam Fraud Syndicate in Warri, Delta State

In one of the most significant examination security stories of the 2026 UTME cycle, the Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with JAMB, uncovered and dismantled a sophisticated examination malpractice syndicate that operated during the main 2026 UTME at the College of Education, Warri, Delta State.

According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid, the operation followed intelligence-led investigations into attempts by criminal elements to compromise the integrity of the examination through technology-assisted fraud. Preliminary investigations revealed that during the examination, unauthorised remote access was illegally gained into candidates' computer systems while the exercise was ongoing — meaning that fraudsters sitting outside the examination centre were able to access and potentially manipulate candidates' exam screens in real time.

Acting on credible intelligence and digital forensic leads, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force carried out coordinated operations which led to the arrest of three suspects directly linked to the criminal activity. The suspects are in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations to uncover the full scope of the network.

Following the discovery, JAMB cancelled the results of candidates from the affected centres pending the conclusion of investigations. Candidates directly affected by the fraud — those who were innocent victims of the remote access scheme — have been rescheduled for the June 13 mop-up examination in line with JAMB's commitment to fairness.

The Nigeria Police Force issued a stern warning to all candidates, examination centre operators, and criminal collaborators: cyber-assisted examination fraud, digital manipulation, and unauthorised system intrusion will not escape detection and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. JAMB has indicated that its live monitoring technology and inter-agency collaboration with security forces will be fully deployed during the June 13 mop-up examination.

UPDATE 5: JAMB Confirms Nigerian Institutions Accept U.S. Certificates
