UNILAG has just released its POST-UTME form — and the portal closes July 8. Result slip printing is expected any day now following the June 13 mop-up. Here is every JAMB and admission update you need today, June 16, 2026.

Introduction

Today is Tuesday, June 16, 2026 — and the pace of the 2026/2027 admission season has shifted into a higher gear. The University of Lagos has officially released its POST-UTME form with a closing date of July 8 — just 22 days away. JAMB's result slip printing portal is expected to be activated any day now following the successful conclusion of the mop-up examination on June 13. Several other major schools have also opened or updated their portals. Here is your complete and fully current JAMB and admission update for today.

BREAKING: UNILAG POST-UTME Form Is Out — Closes July 8, 2026

This is the biggest admission news of the week. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially released its POST-UTME screening form for the 2026/2027 academic session. Online registration opened on Monday, June 15, 2026 — yesterday — and closes on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. That is just 22 days from today.

UNILAG is Nigeria's most competitive university for many courses, and its POST-UTME window is one of the shortest in the country. If UNILAG is your first-choice institution, registering today — not this week, today — is the right decision.

JAMB UPDATE: Result Slip Printing Expected Any Day Now

As of today, June 16, 2026, JAMB's original result slip printing portal has still not been officially activated. However, the mop-up examination was successfully concluded on Saturday, June 13 — removing the final obstacle that was delaying the printing portal. JAMB had clearly stated that the result slip, being a ranking document, could not be released until every candidate's score — including mop-up participants — had been captured and processed.

With the mop-up now done, the processing of those results is underway. The printing portal is expected to go live within the coming days. Education platforms tracking this development are also monitoring for the first confirmed reports of candidates being able to print their slips.

When the portal is activated, here is what to do:

NLTC will publish an immediate update the moment JAMB confirms the printing portal is live. Follow @JAMBHQ on X and bookmark jamb.gov.ng for the official announcement.

Important Reminder: UNILAG O'Level Upload Deadline Is August 14

UNILAG has made a very specific and important announcement on O'Level results: candidates must upload their O'Level results on both JAMB CAPS and the UNILAG application portal on or before Friday, August 14, 2026. Candidates who do not complete this upload by that date will not be considered for admission — regardless of their JAMB score or POST-UTME performance.

For candidates whose WAEC 2026 results are not yet out — results are expected in early August 2026 — this means you will need to act immediately the moment your results are released. Do not wait days or weeks after your WAEC result comes out to upload it. Upload it the same day or the day after, and upload it on both platforms: JAMB CAPS (at a CBT centre) and the UNILAG portal directly.
